Recovery run 4 miles, 41:02; Avg Pace 10:14
Splits: 10:51, 10:11, 9:48, 10:07
After 3 night shifts in a row at the hospital, I woke up this afternoon and went straight out for a run around 4pm. Little did I know there were strong winds and rain. However, I headed into the wind on my normal Cottonwood/Highland route. I had to battle the wind in the first mile, but between 1-3.5 miles, I felt really good. I was able to settle pretty well into a stride that felt comfortable and the temperature, despite the rain, was wonderful. It was a great recovery run for my 13.1 miles last Friday. My quads were still a little sore, but it felt good to stretch them out during a run instead of walking around the hospital! |
